A: A gasket is not required for standard low-pressure applications due to the precision-lapped sealing face. For high-vibration or critical fluid systems, we recommend a PTFE gasket, which we supply as a complementary product for all sizes.

Q: 2. What is the maximum number of times the union can be disconnected and reconnected?

A: The lapped sealing face maintains its integrity for up to 50 disconnection/reconnection cycles when installed and torqued correctly. After 50 cycles, a visual inspection of the sealing face is recommended to check for wear.

Q: 3. Can this union be used in high-temperature piping systems?

A: The MSS-SP-112 Union FF operates stably in temperatures from -20°C to 400°C. For temperatures exceeding 400°C, we offer a high-temperature alloy variant with a minimum order quantity of 100 units.
